Alan Eugene Jackson, was born on October 17, 1958 in Newnan, Georgia. Throughout Alan Jackson's career in American country, he has sold over 50 million records. He was very much influenced by traditional country of the 80s and in return was one of the most popular country singer's in the 90s.

Alan Jackson was able to reach the Billboard country charts more than 50 times. Out of the 50 of his songs that reached the top 30 Billboard charts, 25 of them reached the number one spot, can you believe that? It is absolutely amazing that he could do such a thing. Since he was so awesome and so popular in his career he was inducted into the Georgia music Hall of Fame in the year 2001.

Alan Jackson had four older sisters, and while growing up mainly listen to gospel music, and was pretty much not a major music fan. However when a friend of his introduced him into music, such as Gene Watson and Hank Williams Junior, Alan Jackson started the band after high school.
